Events
and
workshops
From our Making Waves series of (fundraising) film screenings to panel discussions, pop-up cultural events, and creative networking, we love gathering in real life with our community. Come on by!
We’ll also be introducing a small handful of digital offerings in 2024. Stay tuned.
Making Waves presents: an evening of ocean stories
Come join us for conservation, community, and creativity.
Enjoy an evening of incredible visual stories from our region followed by a panel discussion by storytellers and scientists.
As always, time for socializing with other passionate locals follows!
bodies of water workshop
Join us for a creative nourishing morning workshop.
We’ll start by grounding ourselves through an intuitive movement practice and short meditation — no prior experience required.
Then, drawing on historic watery writings from across the globe, we’ll get acquainted with streams of consciousness inspired by the environment. Our facilitator will then move us through a series of writing exercises inspired by different bodies of water.
Optional Add-On:
Join our bi-weekly writing group to keep workshopping your writing in an inclusive, supportive space (with treats).
Making Waves Presents: The Yin and Yang of Gerry Lopez
Our Making Waves series continues with a screening of Patagonia’s The Yin and Yang of Gerry Lopez.
Making Waves is a series of events that fosters community, creativity, and conservation - with a % of all events going to a local non-profit.
